Information for the 3rd Aberystwyth Rapidplay

Location:

International Politics Building, Aberystwyth University, Aberystwyth, SY23 3DZ.

Format:

This will be a six round swiss tournament and play will commence at 11.00am.
Each player has 15 mins + 10 seconds per completed move.

Entry fees:

FIDE/Members of a National Body £25

Juniors - £20

You can pay via Cash or by Bank Transfer.
Bank details are available on the final page of the entry form.

When completing the bank transfer, please put your name + entry as the payment reference.

Cash Payments must be made by Rd 2 or you will be withdrawn from the tournament

Prize money:

Minimum £150 prizes will be split, increasing depending on number of entries

Playing Schedule

Round 1 11:00 am

Round 2 12.00 pm

Round 3 1.00 pm

Round 4 2.00 pm

Round 5 3.00 pm

Round 6 4.00 pm

All games will be FIDE-rated. The rating assigned for pairings be the following in sequence until a rating is found:

(1) FIDE Rapidplay Rating (May 2025)

(2) WCU Standard Rating (May 2025)

For players without any of these ratings, section eligibility and the rating allocated for pairings will be determined by the Organiser on a case-by-case basis.
